The FOUNDER
ISMAIL BAIROU
My name is Ismail Bairou. I come from Imsouane and Essaouira, and I grew up by the sea, nurturing a profound passion for water sports. I began practicing them at a young age and made the decision to transform my passion into my career. In 2023, I created Mystery Surf Camp by transforming a family house in Imsouane into a surf camp. Since then, I have enjoyed every day meeting people from around the world, engaging in enriching discussions about life, surfing, and travel, and ensuring everyone has a great time. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my experience with others. As a certified IKO instructor, I ensure that my training sessions are professional, safe, and designed to facilitate efficient and rapid learning, all while ensuring a highly enjoyable experience.

Founded in 2019 by Ismail Bairou, Mystery Surf Camp is situated in the idyllic coastal town of Imsouane. What started as the renovation of Ismail’s family home has blossomed into a vibrant surf camp, drawing inspiration from one of Imsouane’s most iconic locales. More than just accommodation, Mystery Surf Camp fosters a community where surfing enthusiasts and travelers converge to learn, connect, and embrace the laid-back Moroccan lifestyle. Our camp is meticulously designed to provide exceptional surf lessons alongside an unforgettable holiday experience.
